The Hazel Park Art Fair returns this weekend

The Hazel Park Art Fair returns this weekend

Communities in the greater Detroit area host numerous events throughout the year to engage citizens, and another one of those celebrations is happening this weekend with the Hazel Park Art Fair.

The works of over 100 artists are exhibited and offered for sale.

As in previous years, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities and also some stops for beer lovers.

Lily Ristau, Secretary of the Hazel Park Arts Council, joined The Metro on Monday to tell more about this year’s Hazel Park Art Fair.

Ristau says the event is “truly a matter of the heart.”

“We are all volunteers putting it together because we just love the community and want to see our community’s artists shine. We also want to provide Hazel Parkers and the surrounding area with a fun, free, family-friendly event this weekend,” she said. “We have art in all its forms, which I find very entertaining.”

The Hazel Park Art Fair will be held at Green Acres Park, Hazel Park, on Saturday, August 24, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit hpart.org.
