Paint the Town Green and Gold attracts 35 participants

Thirty-five businesses and organizations have registered for the Paint the Town Green and Gold 2024 community spirit contest hosted by the Russellville Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Tech University.

Now in its ninth year, Paint the Town Green and Gold is a program that encourages local businesses and organizations to decorate the interior and/or exterior of their business premises with Arkansas Tech-themed artwork at the start of the fall semester to welcome ATU students to the community and build school spirit.

The companies and organizations participating in the “Paint the Town Green and Gold 2024” competition are:

Prizes, including the Paint the Town Green and Gold traveling trophy, will be awarded upon completion of judging. Winners will be announced on social media and/or through local media.

All businesses and nonprofits participating in the 2024 Paint the Town Green and Gold Community Spirit Contest will receive free tailgating seats and game tickets when the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys host Oklahoma Baptist University for the season opener on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium in Russellville. Tailgating begins at 4 p.m. and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Arvest, Friendship Community Care, Millard-Henry Clinic, Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation and Simmons Bank are the 2024 Paint the Town Green and Gold sponsors.
