Green Day have announced a 20th anniversary edition of their hugely successful seventh studio album. American IdiotThe set will be available in 8LP+2BB, 4CD+2BD or digital versions, will be released on October 4th by Warners and can be pre-ordered now.

In addition to the original album, the super deluxe box sets include 15 unreleased demos, a 15-song concert from 2004 at Irving Plaza in NYC (9 songs were previously unreleased), and 15 tracks released as B-sides and bonus tracks. The box set is completed by two Blu-rays featuring the film. Heart like a hand grenade35 minutes of Green Day live on the BBC and a new, unreleased documentary, 20 Years of American Idiot.
The deluxe vinyl box contains the eight LPs pressed on vinyl in different colors, as well as a 36-page book, a large Green Day flag and a American Idiot red tie. The Green Day Store version also includes an exclusive poster.
The CD box contains 4 CDs (same audio/video content as the vinyl box), a 48-page book, an enamel pin set, a sticker sheet and a fabric patch.
