Madonna celebrated her 66th birthday with her entire family – including all six children – in Italy, marking a rare occasion together.
The pop sensation shared a recap on Instagram on Monday, August 19, that included moments from the celebration and gave fans a glimpse into the family’s festivities. In the final image, Madonna posed with all of her children: Lourdes “Lola” Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 24, David Banda, 18, Mercy James, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11. She also shared a photo of her son, daughter, and granddaughter, daughter, with her granddaughter ….
Other photos showed Madonna sharing a sweet moment with her twin daughters. Also at the birthday party was her rumored boyfriend Akeem Morris, who was seen holding hands with the singer during the celebration. The “Like A Virgin” singer captioned the post, “La Dolce Vita…………….. 🎂🥂🇮🇹 ♥️.”
Fans were quick to comment and send the singer their best wishes on her special day. “The last slide. ❤,” said one fan, referring to the family photo. Another chimed in, “Happiness is family.”
Other fans sent their birthday wishes to Rocco, whose father is director Guy Ritchie, as he celebrated his birthday just days earlier on August 11. “Stunning ☄️Ⓜ️💫! I love looking at these photos ➕ what a wonderful birthday you (& Rocco! 🌞) had!! 🇮🇹♥️👑✨,” one user said, while another wrote: “Happy birthday Rocco & Tita ❤️.”
Accordingly PEOPLE, The family, along with about 30 other guests, arrived in Pompeii on Friday, August 16. From the photos, it looks like the celebrations took place in a candlelit historic amphitheater.
Madonna recently attended the New York premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine. The twins, born in Malawi, were adopted by Madonna in 2017. Madonna’s large family also includes Lola, whom she has with ex-partner Carlos Leon, and Rocco, whom she has with Ritchie. In addition, the seven-time Grammy winner adopted David Banda in 2006 and Mercy James in 2009, both also from Malawi.
