After just over 30 years at the corner of McKinney Avenue and Knox Street, Chuy’s Restaurant will move to Greenville Avenue in 2025, according to The Dallas Morning News.
This news comes after developers Trammell Crow Co. and BDT & MSD Partners have begun construction on a mixed-use development project on Knox Street. When completed, the area will include a park, office space, retail and restaurant space and more, according to the Trammell Crow Co. newsroom website.
The Tex-Mex restaurant will close its McKinney Avenue location in April 2025 and is expected to reopen the same month at 1520 Greenville Avenue, the former Desert Racer restaurant.
Chuy’s Vice President of Operations Travis Hudson said The Dallas Morning News that the current location will continue to operate as usual until the expected closure.
