An Irish Adele fan said she was “still floating on a fluffy cloud” after the star grabbed her from the crowd and brought her on stage.

Kildare mother Paula Jones said meeting her idol was “surreal” – the entire encounter was captured on the big screen in front of 80,000 fans in Munich.

Paula, who was at the performance with her husband Frank, was the eye-catcher and jumped for joy as she entered the stage together with 36-year-old Adele.

The Allenwood native told Adele that she was from Ireland and that her husband had gone to get them more Prosecco.

Then Paula took the opportunity and gave the singer a kiss on the cheek, which left a bright red mark.

Adele laughed and said, “Frank from Ireland, I have your crazy wife Paula up here.

“Do I have Paula’s red lipstick on my cheek now? I don’t like red lipstick.”

And Paula revealed that she is still coming down from the adrenaline rush she got from pinching on Friday night.

The mother of three told RTE Radio One’s Oliver Callan: ‘I think I’m still floating on a fluffy cloud but, um, yeah, I’m trying to control the adrenaline that’s still kind of in my body.

“Meeting my idol was simply the most surreal experience ever.

“Well, first of all, seeing her live in concert, and then being chosen out of 80,000 people to be on stage with her. I mean, that’s a pinch-yourself moment.”

Paula explained that she felt her cheerful and exuberant energy made her stand out from the huge crowd in Munich.

During her stay in Munich, Adele finally confirms her engagement to her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul and reveals the ring

She said: “I was jumping up and down in my sparkly outfit. Then she said, ‘You in the sparkly two-piece, I want some of that energy.’

“It was just my natural, honest reaction when I met Adele. She was like my best friend.

“She’s just so charming. She’s so approachable. She’s a wonderful person.”

“She’s so gorgeous and a lot of fun to be around. She loves to joke around. And I just hung out with her like she was my best friend.”

And Paula said her three teenage sons were thrilled for her.

She continued: ‘So I’m a normal Irish mum living in Allenwood in Kildare and I’m married to Frank, as you know by now, and I’ve got three wonderful teenage sons – well, thankfully they didn’t flinch.

“They have been totally supportive. I think a lot of their friends have contacted them, so they were quite surprised at first when this all happened, but now they are overjoyed.”

“They just can’t believe that – in their words, not mine – they have a famous mother.”

On stage, Adele also took a photo with Paula and gave her a gift bag.

Paula explained to Oliver what was in the bag: “I got this beautiful tote bag and inside the bag was an incredible signed booklet from Adele with stunning photos of her.”

“I got some Adele T-shirts, a digital camera, some Haribo with the Adele logo, magnets, pins and a few other little things.”

And Paula talked about the messages she has received since Sunday’s show: “Her makeup artist sent me a message afterwards. Such a vibe, and he loved me. It was just so beautiful.”

“Yeah, it was really great. Honestly, the news is coming from all over the world. I’m beside myself.”
