Chelsea Green celebrates milestone in WWE

Chelsea Green has been a professional wrestler for some time now. On social media and in interviews, she refers to her character as a “gimmick.” This week, she took the time to reflect on the 10 years since her first match, adding fuel to the fire.

The former WWE star (2018-21) re-debuted at the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble after leaving the company last year due to injury. Since then, under the leadership of Triple H, she’s had more success than ever, not to mention a whole new level of TV charisma and a knockout wit.

She also recently won women’s tag team gold with Sonya Deville at a live event, her first title win in the Stamford-based promotion’s history. That’s a huge accomplishment from an in-ring perspective, but speaks volumes about how far she’s come as a talent in WWE.

“Damn. 10 years. I deserve EVERYTHING,” Green wrote on X/Twitter.com with this celebratory post in typical Chelsea fashion. And while this is another personal milestone among many others recognized by fans and critics over time, according to CageMatch database records, the important thing here is not exactly when Chelsea (technically) reached double digits professionally in May 2024, but why people cared enough recently to make this realization known.

This week on Ring The Belle, she said how much fun it would be if WWE brought back the Divas Championship belt due to its controversial nature: “First of all, because that’s a thing!” she joked. “I just love having those conversations where people don’t get it.

Like you’d be doing me a favor by tweeting about me because I’m going viral.” And then? Well, there are still a lot of unwritten chapters in Chelsea Green’s storybook career between now and the time she decides it’s time to hang up the boots for good, so don’t worry.
