Anil Agarwal of Vedanta said that his youngest daughter, Priya Agarwal Hebbar, never accepted any money from him for her dream project.
Anil Agarwal of Vedanta posted a special birthday post on X for his youngest daughter, Priya Agarwal Hebbar. In his post, he talked about raising his children, adding that they never had any special privileges and that he always taught them to be fighters.
“I always taught my children to be fighters. I was mostly hard on them and never spoiled them,” the entrepreneur wrote in the first lines of his post.
He recalled that his daughter Priya Agarwal Hebbar “was never granted any special privileges” and, despite having all the means, travelled on public transport when they lived in Mayfair, London.
“She has always led a simple life, remained culturally rooted and follows the Indian value system despite growing up in different countries. She has chosen to move to Mumbai and work for various social causes,” wrote the proud father.
“When she wanted to start her dream project YODA (Youth Organization in Defense of Animals) at the age of 16, she did not accept a single rupee from me. She built it all by herself, raised money and ran it successfully. I am very grateful for the fact that she gave it her all,” he added.
Agarwal added that he has always seen her working “really hard” and taking on “more and more responsibility in core businesses.” He concluded his post by saying, “I know I don’t say this enough but Priya, you really make me proud. Keep pursuing your dreams. I will always have your back.” He also posted a few old photos.
