Shanavas is ecstatic as his friends and relatives shower praises on his brand new house in Tirur in Malappuram, Kerala. The family wanted a minimalistic house that looks compact but has all the modern amenities inside. A multi-layered pitched roof with roof tiles is the highlight of the façade. From the outside, the house may look like a single-storey building, but in reality, it is a spacious two-storey structure.
The laterite wall cladding provides the perfect contrast and breaks the monotony of the plain white tone. The carport was built separately without affecting the dazzling look of the facade.
The rooms are generously arranged throughout the more expansive interiors. This amazing property, measuring 320 sqm, has a car porch, seating area, formal and family living area, dining area, courtyard, kitchen with adjoining work area and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three more bedrooms, a living area and a balcony.
The interiors are designed as public, semi-public and private zones. Beautiful passages connect these perfectly furnished areas. In addition, the interiors offer plenty of natural light and cool air.
The staircase is made of paved wooden planks on a GI frame. The glass handrails give it a chic designer feel. The courtyard with pergola and glass roof is the family’s favorite place in the house. The golden sunlight coming in through the pergola roof beautifully illuminates the courtyard. This cozy courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee or a hearty conversation. Moreover, the Terminalia houseplant adds a touch of refreshing greenery here.
The dining area is decorated in the classic color combination of black and white. The nano-white table top is smooth and clean. The chair with black upholstery underlines the elegant look of the dining table set.
The bedrooms are mostly decorated in white and wood and have many windows to enjoy the greenery outside. The master bedroom is very special with its luxurious fittings. The bathroom here has an open ceiling that brings a piece of nature in. In addition, there is also a spacious walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
Made of multilayer wood with a laminate finish, the cabinets play a crucial role in saving space in the modern kitchen. The wood color of the cabinets creates a perfect contrast with the white walls. The countertop has been paved with nano white. A nice breakfast bar is also set up here.
This house is located in a place where you can enjoy clean air and beautiful greenery. The family is happy that they built a house that complements the surrounding nature.
