Willie Brown threatens Trump with lawsuit for repeating the story of the helicopter crash

Former President Donald Trump reiterates his claim that he and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown nearly crashed a helicopter and that his actions could result in serious consequences.

Brown, a political titan in California and former boyfriend of Vice President Kamala Harris, is threatening to sue Trump for repeating the story that Brown told him secrets about Harris when they both nearly died.

“If he continues like this, I will give him a taste of his own behavior at some point,” Brown told CBS. “If he New York Times because I said he lied, I’m going to sue him.”

Trump defended the allegations in a post for Truth Social earlier this month, saying, “But now Willie doesn’t remember? No, he remembers!” and threatening to sue the newspaper over its coverage of the matter.

During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort earlier this month, Trump initially said Brown told him “horrible things” about Harris during a helicopter ride that ended in an emergency landing. Harris and Brown dated in the 1990s.

Brown has denied the incident, and some speculated that Trump was referring to a helicopter ride between him and former California Governor Jerry Brown in 2018. However, the governor said there was no emergency landing on that flight, nor was there an emergency landing on Trump’s helicopter ride with former California Senator Nate Holden, which he said nearly resulted in a crash.

Trump denied these allegations in a post on Truth Social and again insisted that it was Willie Brown.

“Two failing New York Times “Reporters ‘questioned’ my story about a helicopter making an emergency landing in a field with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and others. First of all, it was in New Jersey, not California, and it was Willie Brown, not former Governor Jerry Brown,” Trump said.

Trump has not commented further on a lawsuit against the news channel since his first threat ten days ago.
