The Bookseller – News – Sarah Ridley appointed new Marketing Director for Transworld

Sarah Ridley has been appointed Transworld’s new Marketing Director after 15 years at Penguin Random House (PRH).

Ridley began her publishing career in the marketing team at Cornerstone and has since led strategy and campaigns for a wide range of brands – from Lisa Jewell and Harlan Coben to Tim Peake and Prince. Since joining Transworld in early 2024, she has led the marketing team in executing campaigns including the cover reveal for The blue hour by Paula Hawkins, for which the jacket was projected onto London landmarks.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Transworld family,” said Ridley. “I have long admired the incredibly hard-working group of people who form the foundation of such a great publishing business and am incredibly excited to be part of a division that publishes some of my all-time favorite authors. I really look forward to helping Transworld flourish and grow even stronger as a market-leading, creative and successful publisher for the future.”

Transworld Managing Director Kimberley Young added: “Sarah is a perfect fit for Transworld. She is ambitious and creative for our authors and an incredible team player. Sarah has demonstrated her marketing flair and savvy year after year, delivering successful campaigns for fiction and non-fiction. Sarah also has a personal interest in coaching, which makes her a thoughtful leader and colleague. I am delighted that Sarah is taking on this role.”
