Columbus, a treat awaits us! Four of the city’s leading performing arts organizations – BalletMet, CAPA, Columbus Symphony and Opera Columbus – are joining forces to bring a brand new production of West Side Story to the Ohio Theatre in February 2025.
If you’ve never seen West Side Story (seriously, where have you been?), this is your chance to experience the magic live, with the greatest score of all time and dance numbers that will take your breath away.
This legendary musical was first performed on Broadway in 1957 and has been a classic ever since.
Set in the rough streets of 1950s New York, the musical tells the story of rival gangs (the Jets and the Sharks) and a love story that’s as intense as it gets. You’ll be humming along to hits like “America,” “Tonight,” and “Maria” – and let’s face it, “I Feel Pretty” will be stuck in your head for days. The show is performed with English and Spanish subtitles.
What makes this production special is the fact that it is a collaboration between some of Columbus’ most talented artists and creators.
