“Our house” – reactions from the dressing rooms of Arsenal and Bayern Munich after the Champions League duel

“Our house” – reactions from the dressing rooms of Arsenal and Bayern Munich after the Champions League duel

Arsenal go into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on the back of a draw, leaving everything still to be seen thanks to a 2-2 draw in Madrid on Tuesday evening.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal after 12 minutes, but just six minutes later former Gunner Serge Gnabry came back to equalise for Bayern. The German giants had turned the game around before half-time when Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot.

Arsenal were not done there though and equalised in the 76th minute through Leandro Trossard. Things could have gone even better for the Gunners had the referee pointed to the penalty spot in the dying seconds when Saka collided with Manuel Neuer, but the appeal was dismissed.

Now it all comes down to the 90 minutes (or 120 if extra time is needed) in Munich. Arsenal travel to Germany on Wednesday, April 17 (kick-off 8pm).

Following the game at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal players took to social media to comment on the performance and result. Here’s what they had to say.
