Kevin Long has been a professional footballer for over 15 years and has played at the highest level in the Premier League, EFL Championship, UEFA Europa League and now MLS.
His most notable season was the one from 2017 to 2018, when he played at the highest level of competition with Burnley in the Premier League. That season, he played 19 games, scored one goal and provided three assists in more than 1,500 minutes on the field, making him a key player for Burnley at the time.

Although his arrival at Toronto FC this year was not the most spectacular, Long faced a difficult adjustment to the MLS and Toronto FC. As a center back, he had a tough job given the team’s defensive and midfield problems.
Despite these challenges, Long has logged over 2,000 minutes in the Reds jersey, making 28 appearances and scoring one goal. At 34 years old, Long is expected to continue to give his best for Toronto FC, and the team and head coach John Herdman hope he can continue to develop as a professional in what could be the final years of his career.
