Only a few days have passed since a surprise Blindside elimination and the even more surprising news that Tucker Laruriers won the Head of Household in Week 5, but the fun isn’t over yet. The destruction of the Collective-Pentagon alliance isn’t over yet, and while three players fight for their lives, fans are begging for one of them to pretend to win. Big Brother.
For those not quite up to speed, Tucker won the HOH and nominated Quinn Martin, Brooklyn Rivera and Cam Sullivan-Brown for eviction. Of course, they all had a chance to save themselves from eviction with the Veto, and CinemaBlend streamed Big Brother to discuss the results and what people have said since then.
Tucker won the Week 5 Veto
I think at this point we should assume Tucker will win a contest if he can win it. This is his fifth contest win this season, and while people will have to consider backdooring him at some point to end his dominance in a contest, he looks pretty safe among his allies. Then again, I thought the same thing about Cedric Hodges before T’Kor Clottey and Kimo Apaka led him out of the blindside clearance. Who knows what’s in store for Tucker in the next few weeks?
Viewers are begging for Cam to do something
As the house progresses, it looks like Cam Sullivan-Brown will avoid eviction as Tucker and his allies plan to send Brooklyn out of the house instead. Still, viewers are worried about Cam, who hasn’t been on the ball at all lately. Some suspect it’s because of Cedric’s eviction and that he’s feeling bad about his future prospects:
I have the feeling that Cam has completely dropped out of the game since Cedric left 😔 #bb2618 August 2024
The fact is, Cam’s behavior is nothing new. He moves around the house and is friendly to other houseguests, but he hasn’t tried too hard to maintain the alliances he made in the first few weeks. He’s remained relatively invisible throughout the game, and people notice that:
#BB26 Cam is SO INVISIBLE that no one ever mentions him on podcasts even though HE’S ON THE BLOCK. pic.twitter.com/WVw5YAwoOy18 August 2024
That can be good for a houseguest, especially if he’s on the edge, but is that a strategy? Right now, it feels like it’s a gamble whether Cam will keep a low profile for survival reasons or whether he’ll be “furniture,” which is a term Big Brother Viewers use it for houseguests who live in the house and just go along with everyone else’s plans. These players can make it to the jury house, but most of the time they have almost no chance of winning.
At first I kind of hated Angela Murray from Big Brother, but now I’m ready to admit why I’m a fan now
She keeps it interesting.
Cam is a Division 1 football star and his competitive skills could be enough to topple Tucker and knock him out of the game. Now is not the time to make this claim, but if I were Cam, I would be quietly looking for allies over the course of this week to forge a new alliance against Tucker.
Quinn is projected to survive the ejection this week, and if that happens, he could be the best starting spot for him. Will Cam partner with him or will he play another passive week? I want to see Cam play the game, albeit with another of the guys I predicted to win Big Brother Although Cam may leave this week, I wouldn’t be that sad if he leaves. I can say that I hate when people go on this show and leave without having accomplished anything, so I hope Cam gets out of the state he’s in and starts fighting for a better position in the house.
Big Brother airs on CBS Sundays at 9 p.m. ET and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. Week 5 already seems to have flown by, so tune in to the live feeds and see what’s happening in the house.
