Bengals start “Open in the Orange” tradition before game against Patriots

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Cincinnati Bengals are starting a new tradition the week before their first regular season game against the New England Patriots on Sept. 8.

Open in Orange celebrates the start of the Bengals’ regular season and gets fans excited for the upcoming season. Bengals officials say players will wear orange jerseys, pants and helmets and there will be several events leading up to the first regular season game against the New England Patriots on Sept. 8.

Fans are also encouraged to wear orange for an Orange Out on September 8 at 1 p.m. at Paycor Stadium.

“Orange is the color of energy, confidence and optimism – three key qualities we want to see as we start the season,” said Elizabeth Blackburn, Bengals director of strategy and engagement. “Combining our new orange pants with our orange jerseys and orange helmets creates a vibrant look that is instantly recognizable, especially when our fans join in and host an Orange Out.”

In addition, the Bengals will design an orange 2024 T-shirt, with all proceeds from the sale going to the Freestore Foodbank.

Fans attending the Taste of the Bengals event on Wednesday, August 28th will be able to purchase the limited edition shirt before it goes on sale at the Bengals Pro Shop on September 1st.
