(WJET/WFXP) – The Community Blood Bank is urging the public to donate and will be rewarding donors throughout the week at its Peach Street location, as well as giving away other giveaways.
There is currently a shortage of blood across the country, and supplies in the region are also continuing to dwindle.

To help combat this, Community Blood Bank is offering a $15 Country Fair gift card to anyone who donates at their store at 2646 Peach Street on Monday, August 20, as well as a t-shirt and a box of Girl Scout cookies for donors all week long.
All donations will be distributed in the NWPA and Western New York area. Anyone age 17 or older who is in good health and has a valid photo ID may be eligible to donate.

Donors will also be entered into a drawing for one of two outdoor Yeti packages in August, including a Yeti 35 cooler, a Solo stove, 2 Yeti mugs and 2 camping chairs.
The Community Blood Bank is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
