“We look forward to seeing you fight.” Republic Pictures via Paramount has released the official trailer for Art of the Eight Limbs – the title is just another term for Muay Thai Boxing. The martial arts action film is now playing in select theaters before hitting VOD later this month. A small release we’ve barely heard about. Four canisters of the deadly nerve agent VX have fallen into the hands of an arms dealer in Myanmar. A CIA data analyst covertly infiltrates a martial arts tournament hiding an auction of the deadly nerve agent and finds himself the last hope against a time-sensitive global threat. Can he pull off a victory? And save the world? Chinese-Canadian actor Ludi Lin (who played Liu Kang in the last 2021 series Mortal Kombat Film) plays the CIA analyst. The cast includes Thai actors Sahajak Boonthanakit and Vithaya Pansringarmboth were in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God forgivesas the villains; together with Grace Vorananth, Nicholas Hammond, Ron SmoorenburgAnd Tofan Pirani. This looks extremely cheap and trite, even the fights don’t look very entertaining. This feels like an obvious direct-to-video dump.

Republic Pictures released Art of the Eight Limbs in selected US cinemas on 16 August 2024and also on VOD from 27.August coming soon. Does anyone want to see this?
