Everything QB Aidan O’Connell said from the locker room

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Las Vegas Raiders ended their fourth week of 2024 NFL training camp tonight with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys at Allegiant Stadium in their second preseason game.

Head coach Antonio Pierce emphasized the importance of this game when talking about the upcoming quarterback battles between Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew.

“The goal would be to hopefully make a decision after this game on Saturday. We have to get ready to play football. We have enough film and we’ll have two games here to evaluate both quarterbacks and see how they’re going to play. And we haven’t really made a decision yet on who’s going to start and who’s not. But either way, both will play a quarter.”

Davante Adams did not dress for the game. He said he would rather not play in the preseason, and Coach Pierce said all healthy players would play.

After the game, Pierce said Adams’ injury was self-inflicted this week.

Gardner Minshew started as QB, and he was Minshew: 10/21 for 95 yards with zero interceptions and zero touchdowns with an unspectacular quarterback rating of 61%.

Aidan O’Connell threw 14/20 for 96 yards, had one interception and one touchdown with a quarterback rating of 76%.

After the game, we met with QB Aidan O’Connell in the locker room to discuss the contest.
