Although he is busy touring with Take That, Olly Murs is taking the time to celebrate his 40th birthday.
The “Heart Skips A Beat” singer, who recently became a father to a little daughter Madison, celebrated his 40th birthday with his loved ones on Tuesday May 14th before taking the stage surrounded by his fans in Birmingham as part of his “Take That’s This Life” tour.
In a series of snaps uploaded to his Instagram story, the former “X Factor” star revealed that he started his day with his little daughter Madison and wife Amelia Tank.
In one photo, Olly shared a glimpse of his birthday breakfast, where he devoured an “insane” breakfast wrap with sausage, egg and bacon.
In the background of the image, fans caught a glimpse of some of the birthday cards Olly received, including an adorable card from Madison that read, “Happy first birthday as my daddy.”
In addition to the cards, Olly was also surrounded by a number of Polaroid pictures scattered around the table that appeared to show him and his wife Amelia. There was also a garland of similar Polaroid pictures.
To make the day even more special, the “Please Don’t Let Me Go” pop star also shared a photo of Amelia’s special baby onesie, which had the words “Happy 40th Birthday Daddy” written on the front.
No birthday would be complete without cake, and Olly’s birthday party was no exception. To celebrate the special day, the singer was treated to a special cake in the shape of a sausage, bean and cheese melt from Greggs.
In the meantime, he also received a cherry red velvet cake decorated with a picture of himself and the caption “HBD angry Murs!”
Olly’s birthday celebrations come after he announced his plans to expand his family just a month after the birth of his daughter Madison.
In an interview with “Lorraine” on ITV, the musician talked about his life as a new father.
“I think Amelia and I knew from the moment we got together that we were life partners and that we wanted to have a family and children. Honestly, it feels completely natural. It just feels like it was meant to be,” he said.
He added: “Three would be nice, but we only have one, so we’re happy at the moment. We’ll just get through the next few months and see how we get on.”
