Drena, 56, the daughter of Robert De Niro, gives us a little glimpse into her personal life by posting candid moments of her father and children on social media to mark the veteran actor’s 81st birthday.
In a tribute post for her father’s birthday, the 56-year-old shared a carousel post on Instagram with pictures and a video. The first picture shows them all on a boat, where the legendary star wore orange and white striped swim shorts with small flowers on them. The snap was taken as Robert appeared to jump into the water.
She then posted a video of the actor diving into the water with Drena’s voice in the background. As he jumped, she said: “Wow, he’s so crazy.”
She then asked him if he was OK, to which her father replied, “Yes, I’m fine.” She then asked someone how far the deck was from the water, and they replied, “30 (feet).” She said, “Wow.”
The next image shows an old photo of the Taxi Driver star giving his late grandson Leandro De Niro Rodrigues a bottle of milk as a toddler. The next image also shows the grandson and grandfather smiling at the camera. The last image shows the veteran actor with his two grandchildren playing on the beach.
Drena captioned this photo, “Happy 81st birthday my daddy and #1 keep up the good work… I love you with all my heart. #BobbyD forever.” Many people in the comments section wished the The Never Learn star a happy birthday.
The actress also shared two pictures with her father in her Instagram stories. One of them was a throwback picture from her childhood. She wrote: “Happy birthday king of the jungle.” On the next picture, she simply wrote: “Happy birthday my favorite guy.”
For those who don’t know, ex-girlfriends Diahnne Abbott and the actor welcomed Drena and a son, Raphael. The Goodfellas star also has two sons, Julian and Aaron, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith. He and ex-wife Grace Hightower welcomed Elliot and Helen. Robert and girlfriend Tiffany Chen have a 16-month-old baby, Gia.
