Savannah Hilton Head International Airport remains open but acknowledges there is a high chance flights will be canceled due to Tropical Storm Debby.
A statement at the top of the airport’s website reads: “SAV remains operational, however airlines may delay or cancel flights depending on weather conditions. Travelers are advised to stay in touch with their airline for the most up-to-date flight information.”
As of 2 p.m. Monday, not many flights were affected by the slow-moving storm that made landfall in Florida early Monday morning. Only four flights, all United Airlines, were canceled, another delayed flight to Newark, NJ, was rescheduled from 2:46 p.m. to 4:06 p.m. A Delta flight to Detroit was rescheduled from 12:59 p.m. to 3 p.m., while an American Airlines flight to Dallas Fort-Worth was rescheduled from 2:25 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
