John Cena reacts to the cancellation of an important film role – TJR Wrestling

A film starring John Cena does not come to fruition as planned.

As a WWE legend, John Cena is one of the most popular pro wrestlers in the history of the business. However, the leader of the Cenation is still relatively new to the Hollywood business. While Cena is becoming more and more famous as an actor, he also stars in some films that are not considered hits.

John Cena was originally set to star in a movie called Coyote vs. Acme. According to The Wrap, the film was already completely finished and was being shown to audiences, but Warner Bros. Discovery turned down several offers to broadcast the film, so Coyote vs. Acme has still not been released.

The film “Coyote vs. Acme” is based on a 1990 New Yorker article by Ian Frazier. It features the well-known character Wile E. Coyote and the Acme Corporation of the famous Looney Tunes company. The story is about how Coyote sued the Acme Corporation after numerous failed attempts to kill his arch-nemesis, the infamous “Road Runner”.

Cena’s role in the film was that of Acme Corporation’s lawyer, while Will Forte played Coyote’s lawyer.

In an interview with The Wrap, Cena talked about “Coyote vs. Acme” being put on hold for the time being.

“There’s a lot to it. And everyone has a different perspective. We don’t own the film. That’s the hard thing about this business. You feel like you own it because you put your heart and soul into it. And (director) Dave Green and everyone involved made a film that we thought was good.”

“I would have liked to see the project given a chance. But I’m only one person. And if it was put on hold, I would have to assume that it was put on hold for the right reasons and that it was a good business decision.”

John Cena wants to trust the process

As the discussion continued, Cena talked about having to trust the decision-makers’ process not to release the film.

“I think I would feel great regret and shame if I looked back at the legacy of the film and it had been shelved for other reasons.”

“So I have to believe in the process. And I love the film, I’m into it with all my heart, but it’s someone else’s project and you can do whatever you want with it, and that’s what you’ve chosen.”

John Cena plans to end his wrestling career in 2025, while one of his biggest on-screen rivals, Randy Orton, has chosen Cena to be the one to induct Orton into the WWE Hall of Fame when the time comes for Orton’s induction.
