Rumer, whose father is Bruce Willis, reacted to the photo: “Oh mom, I love you so much.”
This isn’t the first time Demi has shared photos of Rumer’s home birth. On her 35th birthday – just three months after giving birth to her daughter – the actress shared moments from that emotional day.
She captioned the photo: “My life changed the day you were born. You brought depth, meaning and purpose to my life, along with an understanding of love I had never known. And now here you are, my baby, with your own baby, bringing even more meaning, magic and love to all of our lives.”
Rumer’s work experience
Rumer has spoken openly about her unmedicated home birth, during which she delivered her daughter Louetta in a birthing pool. She described the contractions as “intense” and “overwhelming pain.”
“I let go, I actually surrendered to what was happening. And my body … just downloaded what to do,” she said, describing the experience as “primal” and “magical.”
During her home birth, Rumer’s water broke. She described the moment as “wild.”
“And then (the midwife) checked me and felt my water bulging but still not breaking, which was crazy,” she said. “And I thought, ‘So, should we break it? Do you want to break it?’ And she said, ‘You can.'”
Rumer revealed that there was a photo of her doing this with “this look of shock and surprise on her face.”
On April 18, 2023, she welcomed her daughter Louetta Isley Thomas Willis.
