The actress highlighted the unexpected twists and turns that shaped her path to success, saying: “You just never know what’s going to happen.“Cuoco recalled auditioning for the role in the sitcom several times before finally getting it.
I remember thinking the third time around, “This is obviously not right for me. I don’t know why they keep bringing me back!”
Despite the initial setbacks, she stressed the importance of keeping trying. “It’s about perseverance,” she said, adding: “I’m really glad I went in that third time because it obviously changed my life.”
Kaley Cuoco also attributed her success to the advice of those around her and her own determination. The Big Bang Theory Star remembered,
People (around me) said, “Look, you want to work for Chuck Lorre. If you want to do comedy… you need to get back in that room.” He was the reason we went back.

He always advised her never to present the same shot to the studio audience twice, she said. “The best advice I have ever received or experienced.” Cuoco also recalled how his approach kept the laughs fresh and engaging during filming.
John used to do that all the time and I just thought, ‘How does he get everyone to laugh like that?’ On our show we do three takes, four at the most, so you get the chance to do it four different ways and it makes everyone laugh.
The actress also emphasized the influence the late actor had on her while working together on the series. “I spent a year and a half just with him, and the way he touched my life goes far beyond those years and a half,” she told Access Hollywood.
Cuoco also acknowledged that Ritter’s advice has influenced her work to this day and has remained with her as wisdom throughout her career.
