New all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant is coming to Roseville – replacing another shop

New all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant is coming to Roseville – replacing another shop

A chain of all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants will open its newest location in Roseville this spring.

According to restaurant owner Jason Li, Akame Sushi at 1902 Taylor Road is scheduled to open sometime in April.

“We’re not just doing this for ourselves,” Li said of his plans to open Akame with co-owner Wenghui Zheng.

“We also do it for the community, to bring them the highest quality and best food they can find in Roseville.”

Akame Sushi will replace the sushi restaurant Maneki, which closed in November after less than a year.

Maneki co-owner Max Tolstoguzov told the Sacramento Business Journal in November that the restaurant closed its doors because it was “losing too much money” and had “no customer traffic.”

What is Akame Sushi?

Akame Sushi will be an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

The restaurant will also offer premium seafood dishes for those who do not want to opt for the all-you-can-eat concept, Li said.

What are the plans for the new location in Roseville?

As of Wednesday morning, the Roseville restaurant’s menu was no longer available online.

“We are currently working on our liquor license,” Li said. “When we open, we probably won’t serve alcohol as we are currently in the process.”

The Sacramento Bee checked with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for a license, but according to its website, the restaurant has not yet received a beer and wine license.

However, the business filing had already been posted on the California Secretary of State’s website on Tuesday and stated that it had been filed on January 24.

When will the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant open?

Akame Sushi will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Li said.
