Anyone can play competitive games online, but there will always be input lag when connecting. On LAN, there is almost no connection lag, which feels completely different than in an online environment.

Fighting games often host LAN events on a local or global scale. Due to the one-on-one nature, it is easier to host these events. EVO, the Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament, takes place every year and draws thousands of spectators.

However, due to cost reasons and the high number of registrations, there are not many in-person events for team-based games. The halo Event is important because it opens the floodgates for potentially more large LAN party events.

If a retro first-person shooter can throw a party like this, what’s stopping other games from doing the same? LAN events are always fun, even on a local level. Making new friends and the joy of competition are why many players continue to participate.

If you attend these parties, you will experience many unforgettable moments, even as a spectator. The LAN party will be the biggest retro LAN party of the year for first-person shooters. If this event is exciting for you and your friends, register soon before all 64 spots are taken.
