The Hub’s night market enlivens Rushville Square in downtown

RUSHVILLE – It’s almost time for some late-night shopping and entertainment.

According to Erin Eveland, executive director of the Hub, the Hub Art and Cultural Center’s annual night market will be held on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the downtown square.

The market portion of the evening will feature over 20 artisans and crafters selling artwork, textiles, handmade facial products, local honey and handmade signs.

• One Knotty Maker, a Jacksonville-based shop owned by Jessica Lynn that offers macrame and resin items;

• Cheryl Kelly & Co., a Jacksonville-based provider of vegan and organic skin care products;

• Theo’s Treatos, a Rushville-based manufacturer of all-natural dog treats and pet accessories;

• Noumea Hand-Dyed Yarn and Fibers, a yarn store based in Rushville;

• Weldon Creations, a dealer that creates new works of art from old horseshoes;

• Quincy’s forever-wearable jewelry;

• Fawn Berry Apothocary, an herbalist from Quincy;

• Bluebird Glassworks, a Warsaw-based producer of handmade stained glass items with nature motifs;

• Green Fox suncatchers and natural jewelry from Quincy;

• Baker Street Sweets, a bakery based in Rushville;

• The Bread Basket, a bakery based in Rushville;

• Daisy Garden Cookies of Rushville;

• Drewberry Soap, a Sutter-based manufacturer of soaps, shampoos, lotion bars and lip balms;

• Sophie’s Enchating Creations, a Carthage-based seller of custom tumblers, sippy cups, onesies and other items;

• Polymer clay jewelry with a sparrow and a finch;

• Roshambo Designs at Berco Farms, selling leather goods, jewelry and other items;

• Your Local Plant Dealer, a Mount Sterling based houseplant seller;

• Keychains and bracelets from Celeste’s Creations;

• Author and motivational speaker Rolland Sarver, who will be selling copies of his book “The Value Message”; and

• Amy’s Beautiful Things.

In addition to traders, the evening will feature live music from The Hub’s Ukulele Club, musician Rachel Norton, VIT band Late Start and a performance by The Hub’s Historic Dancers.

Other activities include a chalk drawing contest, a children’s art area, t-shirt printing and food trucks.
