Ben Affleck celebrated his 52nd birthday the way he wanted. The Gone Girl star celebrated his birthday on August 15 with a “little birthday party at home” with his children.
A source told People, “It’s exactly what he wanted. He didn’t want to go out to celebrate,” and his kids got presents for him. The insider called the celebration “sweet.” The source added that his reportedly estranged wife Jennifer Lopez also stopped by to wish him a happy birthday.

Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he has children Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12), was also spotted visiting the actor at his rental home in Brentwood, California, according to photos published by Page Six.
According to The Daily Mail, Lopez, 55, was spotted at Ben’s temporary residence just hours after Garner’s visit. For those out of the loop, the duo has been fending off divorce rumors since early May, two years after they tied the knot in an intimate Vegas ceremony in July 2022. Bennifer also celebrated her union in August with a big ceremony in Georgia in front of friends and family following their secret wedding in Sin City.
On the same day as Affleck’s birthday, JLo performed solo at the opening night of the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, which featured performances by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, among others. The Atlas star posted snaps of her OOTN, a Dior dress, on Instagram before making her way to the venue.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer’s brief visit to Affleck’s home on his birthday came after the actor missed her 55th birthday party in the Hamptons on July 24. Lopez had hosted a Bridgerton-themed party for her family and friends in New York, but Affleck was not in attendance.

According to an inside tip given to People in early August, Affleck and JLo are “going their separate ways” after the former purchased a new abode in LA. Lopez is also looking for a new home on the West Coast after putting her shared 3,500-square-foot home with Affleck up for sale.
A source also recently told Page Six that the Argo actress is intentionally delaying her divorce from Lopez because she is “angry” and feels “humiliated.” The “Wedding Planner” actress, the insider said, “hasn’t fully accepted that it’s over.”
