Faculty and administrators from Emerson College and Paris College of Art (PCA) joined current Global BFA students at the Emerson Visitors Center on Thursday, August 15, to unveil a plaque commemorating the innovative, international program.
Launched in summer 2019, the Global BFA program combines courses in film and media production, art and film history, media criticism, French language and culture, humanities, and more. The program is taught over three and a half years at Emerson, PCA, and Emerson’s Kasteel Well in the Netherlands, and graduates receive BFAs from both Emerson and PCA.
Participants at the event included Emerson President Jay Bernhardt, Provost Alexandra Socarides, Dean of the School of the Arts Kate Eichhorn, and Global BFA Co-Director Professor Dan Gaucher. The Paris College of Arts was represented by Provost Michael Meere and Global BFA Co-Director and Head of the Film Department Harald Hutter.
The plaque joins a plaque honoring Emerson’s partnership with Blanquerna University in Barcelona.
