With a special appearance by Grammy Award winner Lisa Loeb

Oceana, the world’s largest advocacy organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation, will host its 17th annual SeaChange Summer Party on Saturday, August 17. This year’s master of ceremonies is award-winning actor, activist and Oceana board member Ted Danson. The event will honor SeaChange co-founder and chair emeritus Valarie Van Cleave. Guest musical singer and songwriter Lisa Loeb will sing hits including “Stay (I Missed You),” which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Winner of the Best Gala in Orange County award and most recently the Best Summer Soiree award from Modern Luxury Riviera, Oceana’s SeaChange Summer Party has raised nearly $20 million to support the organization’s important work to help ensure a healthy ocean for future generations. For over 20 years, Oceana has addressed challenges like overfishing, habitat destruction and pollution on a global scale. In California, the organization has secured conservation measures to prevent whales and turtles from becoming entangled in fishing nets, protected deep-sea corals and seafloor habitats, secured legislation to address plastic pollution at the source, and more.
