LeBron James’ son Bryce has received several major college offers

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has made history countless times throughout his NBA career, but his proudest moment may have been when his son Bronny was drafted into the NBA earlier this offseason.

Bronny was selected by the Lakers with the number 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With this move, the two players became the first father-son duo to ever become teammates at the NBA level.

It will be a special moment when they step onto the court together later this season. But James has another son who also wants to continue his basketball career.

His son Bryce is a few years younger than Bronny, but already has several offers from colleges. Bryce has reportedly received offers from Ohio State, USC and Duquesne.

On3 ranked him among the 100 best players of the 2025 class. College basketball analyst Jeff Goodman, however, was not thrilled with the idea of James being ranked so high.

“Bryce James is not a top 100 player right now.”

Bryce may have more potential in the NBA than Bronny, especially as a point scorer, and during a recent performance at Peach Jam, he showed exactly why some talent scouts don’t rate him highly.

He averaged 5.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and one block per game. James struggled a bit in those games, but there is still hope that he can become an impact player at the next level.

Bryce has previously shown he can finish well off the dribble, a trait many scouts like to see in young guards. He will need to perform much better at the college level if he wants to become an NBA player.

However, Bronny had a poor first season at USC and still made it to the NBA. He showed strong defensive instincts on the court, which likely helped interested teams surpass his overall production.

Another college basketball expert commented that Bryce is in the top 100 of his class. Kevin Sweeney had a similar opinion to Goodman regarding his coach’s assessment.

Bryce James being a top 100 recruit is far worse than anything that has happened to Bronny over the last two years.

All in all, Bryce will end up on a college team and all eyes will be on his performance. Being the son of LeBron may open some doors for him, but ultimately it’s about how productive he can be on the court.
