Blake Lively is criticized for “rejecting” a fan’s bracelet gift

Blake Lively has once again found himself at the centre of controversy after a recent encounter with a fan left a bad taste in many people’s mouths.

When a well-meaning fan gifted the actress a friendship bracelet, Lively appeared to put it aside because it “didn’t match her outfit,” earning her criticism from netizens who accused her of being “dismissive.”

Blake Lively has also drawn the ire of her fans for a “difficult to stomach” interview that has resurfaced, with some claiming she was “rude” to the reporter.

The former “Gossip Girl” actress came under fire from her fans after she showed ungratefulness towards a person who gave her a friendship bracelet.

A TikTok video that made the rounds captured the scenes as the 36-year-old actress attended the London premiere of “It Ends With Us” earlier this month.

In the clip, someone gives Lively a pink pearl bracelet, for which she thanks them before giving it to someone else.

“Thank you so much. This is so sweet. I’m going to put it here because it doesn’t match my outfit, but I’ll wear it later,” Lively told the gift giver.

When her co-star Isabela Ferrer got her own friendship bracelet, she immediately tried it on.

“Thank you! Oh my God, I’m going to wear it,” Ferrer told the fan.

Some fans did not take Lively’s behavior lightly, with many criticizing her as “rude” and “dismissive” as they pointed out that the pink bracelet matched her pink earrings.

One person noted that “the contrast between” Lively and Ferrer was “astonishing,” pointing out how differently they both reacted to the gift.

“It actually matches her whole outfit lmao,” commented another viewer.

“It actually matches her outfit though hahaha,” wrote one user, while another added: “Why don’t we find out who she is until 2024?”

A fourth person noted, “Lively didn’t have to be so dismissive. I understand she might be scared to receive something from a stranger, but she could have at least held it in her hand so the fan could see that she appreciated it.”

Her outfit was in many shades of pink, apparently a reference to her character Lily Bloom, who is a florist in the series.

The A Simple Favor actress was called “rude” and came under fire after another “hard to stomach” interview from 2017 resurfaced.

In the clip, she spoke to DP/30 about her 2017 film “All I See Is You,” but when the reporter asked her if she “feels free to try anything,” she seemed to roll her eyes.

“What do you mean?” she interrupted, laughing, before the journalist then recalled an earlier topic they had discussed and explained: “In terms of trying out. You apparently won’t sing.”

Lively replied, “I sang in this movie. Have you seen the movie? We’ll do a surprise test for you at the end.”

One fan said she was “terrorizing” the journalist and called her “rude,” while another claimed she was “so ready to be triggered before they even finish their interview question.”

However, other fans felt the allegations were untrue, with one writing that the accusations of “rudeness” were exaggerated, adding that people were just “forcing” the negativity.

The “Savages” actress is involved in another controversy with reporter Kjersti Flaa, who interviewed her in 2016.

Flaa shared a clip of herself interviewing Lively and her “Café Society” co-star Parker Posey, calling the conversation a “nightmare.”

She described the session as “the most uncomfortable … situation” she had ever experienced, adding that the actress made her want to “quit her job.”

In the video, Flaa congratulated Lively on her “little baby bump,” as the actress was pregnant with her second child at the time.

Lively replied sarcastically: “Congratulations on your little bump,” which put their conversation in an awkward situation.

Posey then tried to calm the nervous atmosphere by showing her “belly” on her butt, which she and Lively laughed at.

It was at this moment that Lively began to subtly scold Flaa after she called the film “visually amazing” and asked if the actors liked the fashion.

Lively appeared to answer her, but without looking at her, said to Posey, “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”

Flaa insisted that she “would,” but Lively and Posey just kept talking about their male co-stars’ outfits.

Lively concluded, “It’s not just women who have the clothes, but I feel like women are driving the conversation.”

The recent surge in controversy surrounding Lively comes amid the drama involving her and her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni.

Since the film’s release, neither actor has been seen promoting the film together, even though they are the lead actors.

Accordingly Page SixInsiders claimed that Baldoni made the actress feel “uncomfortable” and created an “extremely difficult” environment for the entire cast.

However, sources close to Baldoni have denied this claim, saying the actor would never intentionally make anyone uncomfortable.

The Hollywood Reporter has since announced that the dispute between the co-stars was due to creative differences on the set of “It Ends With Us”.

This report is consistent with claims that Baldoni, who also served as the film’s director, felt sidelined when Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, intervened and rewrote certain scenes in the film.

Since the problems between Lively and Baldoni came to light, fans have been divided: Many accuse the actress of ignoring the issue of domestic violence in the film during her press tour and instead using it as an opportunity to promote her new cosmetics brand.

Neither Lively nor Baldoni have issued a statement on the controversy. However, it has been revealed that Baldoni has hired a crisis PR manager.
