The Best Meatball Sub in the Atlantic City, NJ Area (PHOTOS)

In February 2024, I featured the absolute best meatball sub available in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Several people have approached me about this topic over the last few days… so we’ll come back to it today.

The last time we wrote about the best meatball sub in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area… it generated so much positive reaction from the public.

We have many fantastic sandwich shops in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area.

In my opinion, however, there is only one absolute best meatball and meatball parmesan sub in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area.

The undisputed GOAT in my opinion is:

Pete’s Subs & Deli in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Many of Pete’s Subs’ experienced staff were trained at the legendary White House Sub Shop in Atlantic City.

The wonderful Italian bread (sub roll) is always fresh, which is crucial.

If the sub bun is hard and not fresh, it ruins the whole sub for me.

It’s sad how many places are willing to serve stale bread.

Atlantic City Italian bread has to be fresh! Don’t settle for less.

Here’s another interesting fact about Pete’s Subs.

At Pete’s Subs, you can’t order a Meatball or Meatball Parmesan sub until 11:00 a.m. because the Meatballs are made fresh every morning.

The meatballs are huge and delicious. But it’s not just the size that matters.

The consistency and taste are perfect every time.

Another important point is the sauce. Pete’s sauce is bursting with flavor.

Pete’s Subs offers this important advice. They strongly advise against asking again for half of your Meatball Sub to be cut into Galf.

They do this routinely with their other submarines.

However, Pete’s Meatball Sub is so packed with meatballs and sauce that you only eat half at a time.

And another important tip: If you wait too late in the day to order, the meatballs may be sold out.

Pete’s Subs also offers a wide variety of other subs: cheesesteak, regular sub, ham, turkey, tuna and more.

They make Old style submarine sandwiches, deli items, salads, wraps, homemade Italian meatballs and more.

It’s my favorite sandwich shop. White House, Dino’s and Vic’s complete my Mount Rushmore of Atlantic City area sandwich shops.
