Kakao Games (CEO: Sang-Woo Han) announced on the 13th that its European subsidiary has signed a worldwide publishing deal for two upcoming titles from its development subsidiary Ocean Drive Studio (CEO: Hee-Jae Kim).
Kakao Games Europe, known for its successful game service in the global market, will leverage its extensive service and operations experience to support the localization and commercialization of Ocean Drive Studio’s upcoming titles: Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch and Section 13.
Ocean Drive Studio, known for delivering innovative gaming experiences on PC and console platforms, will be responsible for the overall development and operations of these new titles, ensuring they resonate with audiences worldwide.
Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch builds on the critically acclaimed combat system of its predecessor, Lost Eidolons, while introducing an even more engaging and expansive storyline. Unlike the original, this new title is designed as a turn-based RPG with roguelite elements, offering a fresh and dynamic gaming experience.
Section 13, on the other hand, is a reimagining of the tactical co-op shooter Blackout Protocol as an action-packed roguelite shooter. Ocean Drive Studio has invested heavily in improving the story and gameplay and has devoted significant resources to developing this game under the new title.
Both Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch and Section 13 are gaining attention as top-notch indie games, alongside zombie survival title God Save Birmingham. These games will be showcased to the public at Gamescom 2024 in Cologne from August 21-25 in both the B2C and B2B sections of the event.
