Dallas-based Korbyt acquires UK-based conference room booking and room management software company » Dallas Innovates

Korbyt, a Dallas-based provider of digital signage and workplace experience software, has acquired UK-based NFS Technology, a leading provider of conference room booking and room management software solutions and services.

The acquisition was made in partnership with Clearhaven Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm specializing in software. In 2023, Korbyt received “a significant initial growth investment” from Clearhaven.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Korbyt’s digital signage and workplace communications software solutions are used by more than 350 enterprise customers worldwide, including well-known companies in global financial services, higher education, manufacturing, supply chain and contact center, the company said. The cloud-native Korbyt Anywhere platform helps companies engage their audiences – from employees to students to customers and guests – through a single integrated platform. The platform works across multiple channels, including digital signage, desktop, web, email and mobile.

NFS Technology’s extensive global presence

NFS Technology provides room booking and room management software platforms to more than 275 customers worldwide, including leading companies in the legal, financial, education and healthcare sectors. The company has a strong presence in the US, Europe and Australia, and a network of business partners in the Middle East and East Asia.

With the acquisition by Korbyt, the reach of the newly combined company “spans the entire globe and includes vertical markets that represent significant growth opportunities” for the Dallas-based company, Korbyt said.

“Workplace communications have evolved dramatically in recent years, with enterprises and other large organizations facing tremendous pressure to leverage modern communications tools that reach their audiences anywhere and on any device, while maximizing shared spaces for face-to-face collaboration,” Korbyt CEO Ankur Ahlowalia said in a statement. “Expanding the Korbyt Anywhere platform with the NFS Rendezvous product suite will provide unprecedented value to the market under one integrated platform and help our combined customer base create engaging workplace experiences where employees, customers and guests can thrive and collaborate effectively.”

Korbyt said that by acquiring NFS Technology, the company now offers the industry’s “most comprehensive workplace experience platform” and delivers greater value to its customers worldwide.

Luis De Souza, founder and CEO of NFS Technology, said his team is excited to “work with Korbyt as we stand united behind our shared mission to provide our customers with a modern workplace experience platform.”

“Successful organizations provide people-centric workplaces where employees have a great experience and can perform at their best,” De Souza added in a statement. “I have known Korbyt for many years and have great respect for the quality of their software solution and the culture they have built – their customer-centric approach to business reflects NFS’s long-standing commitment to providing the highest quality support. In addition, we have already integrated the platforms and look forward to the enhanced features we can deliver together as the most engaging and robust workplace experience solution in the industry.”

Chris Ryan, managing partner at Clearhaven Partners, said his firm invested in Korbyt to expand its technology leadership on a global basis.

“The acquisition of NFS Technology is an exciting milestone in Korbyt’s growth trajectory. It enables the company to deliver the industry’s most robust and comprehensive workplace experience solution, all on a single, cloud-native platform. This further strengthens the company’s leadership position in the workplace experience market and helps Korbyt expand in key geographies and market segments,” Ryan said in a statement.

With the acquisition, Korbyt has expanded its global presence, strengthened its presence in the UK and the US and opened offices in India and Australia, the company said.
