BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – The Bonita Springs Wonder Gardens are a city landmark and are currently undergoing a revitalization project called Renew the Wonder. One thing that might make this project a little easier is money. That’s exactly why Rooftop at Riverside and the Wonder Gardens are joining forces.

“We are very pleased to partner with a group that has been active in our community for 100 years,” said Magnus.
He says when people pay their bill after eating, they have the opportunity to leave a small donation. This month, the proceeds go to the Everglades Wonder Gardens, just a mile away in Downtown Bonita. They have every animal you can imagine.
Jessica White works in the gardens and says these donations come at just the right time.
“We are currently working with the city of Bonita Springs on our new project, ‘Renew the Wonder,’ and we have a ten-year plan that will require a lot of donations for some of our new projects and buildings,” she said.
Jessica White works at Wonder Gardens and says this is the second hurricane season that they have no place to house the animals in an emergency. That’s one of many things the facility is working to fix.

“We want to build a new event building and our canopy tour will be a treetop walkway that goes up into the trees so you can see things from a different perspective,” she said.
“Eat, Drink, Donate” starts this moment and each month a new nonprofit will be selected to receive the funds raised by Rooftop at Riverside.
“It helps us as a small local business to connect with the mission of our local charities,” Magnus said.
