Anyone who has ever spent time with a cat knows that all cats like to act like they live in a palace with humans taking care of them. However, for this one lucky cat, that dream is actually a reality.

Meet Lilibet, a 5-year-old cat who lives at The Lanesborough, a five-star hotel widely considered one of London’s best—and most expensive—places to stay. Lilibet moved into the hotel in 2019 when she was just a kitten, so she’s never known anything but a lavish lifestyle.

Lilibet likes to spend her days doing what cats do best: lazing around. She makes herself comfortable on the hotel’s large windowsills, on one of the many plush beds and on the grand piano. Her favorite room is the so-called “relaxation room,” a quiet rest area reserved for select guests.

According to The Lanesborough website, there is “a small team of cat-loving colleagues, called the Cat Committee, who have kindly volunteered to look after Lilibet.”

One of the main tasks of the Cat Committee is to ensure Lilibet gets the best food London has to offer. Special cat-friendly treats are prepared for her every day. She has even tried caviar.

Every guest who visits the Lanesborough cannot help but marvel at how well Lilibet fits into their hotel lifestyle.

“She knows her place in this fine hotel – she can be anywhere she likes,” wrote one commenter on Instagram.

“She needs a (pearl) necklace and a crown,” wrote another.

Despite all that the famous hotel has to offer, Lilibet has become one of the main reasons guests visit the Lanesborough. The hotel has joined her in naming one of its cocktails after her.

“I really want to visit Lilibet… she’s one of our favorite kitties,” wrote one commenter on Instagram. “Of course the hotel is beautiful too!”

Lilibet’s popularity has inspired other hotels in the Lanesborough franchise to acquire their own hotel cats.

“She joins Burmese cat Socrate from Le Bristol Paris and Kléopatre from Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden,” writes The Lanesborough on its website.

But there’s no hotel cat like Lilibet. If you’re ever lucky enough to stay at The Lanesborough, keep an eye out for a fluffy feline getting her daily dose of lounging.
