Nebraska Democratic delegation prepares for Democratic convention in Chicago

The Nebraska Democratic Party is proud to travel with a strong and diverse delegation to represent our state at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

The following details regarding the Nebraska delegation and congressional activities will be provided to the press and media.

WHAT: The staff of the Nebraska Democratic Party and the Nebraska Democratic Delegation will represent Nebraska at the Convención Nacional Democrática starting on Monday, August 19th until August 23rd.

On Sunday we will host a “Nebraskans in Chicago” reception.

The delegation will attend daily (Mon-Thurs) breakfast meetings with high-profile speakers such as Governor Gretchen Whitmer (MI) and Representative Jasmine Crockett (TX).

Delegates will attend caucus and council training and view official meeting minutes to cast their votes for the Harris-Walz ticket (the roll call vote will take place on Tuesday).

You can find the schedule of the convention here.

The Nebraska delegation is comprised of 34 delegates, 3 alternates, 3 committee members (platform, rules, credentials), 5 electors, 3 pages, and a designated dignitary. Our delegation represents a diverse representation from across the state: elected officials, workers, members of the LGBTQIA community, neighborhood activists, military veterans, ranchers, and students, to name a few.
