The “Hotties for Harris” are planning a sexy party at the DNC

“The Hotties” are joining the ranks of “white guys” and “cat ladies” in supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. A “Hotties for Harris” party will round out the festivities for the Democratic National Convention next week.

Tuesday’s event – co-hosted by Vox Media star Liz Plank, Vocal Media and the Instagram account @Feminist, among others – is intended to be “an immersive experience designed to help you create great content to protect reproductive freedom,” the invitation says.

“And also to celebrate,” the invitation said.

The party is one of hundreds scheduled to take place in the late hours after the DNC’s daily events from Aug. 19 to 22. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is holding court at the Salt Shed, a new concert hall that will also feature Democratic frontrunner John Legend.

The Equality PAC is hosting a party with performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race Stars Chad Michaels, Sily Nutmeg Ganache and Jackie Cox. Illinois Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth greet visitors at Wrigley Field, a city relic. The folks from Pod Save America host their own wrap party, also at The Salt Shed.

Invitation to “Hotties for Harris”

The “Hotties for Harris” group continues a string of advocacy groups – some demographic, some not – showing their support for the vice president. The “White Dudes for Harris” groups raised more than $4 million through a Zoom call that included “The Dude” Jeff Bridges, among others. star Wars Legend Mark Hamill and Mark Ruffalo talk with Pritzker and Governor Tim Walz, who is about to run for vice president.

Former President Donald Trump also has a few groups that try to appeal to different demographics, including a $20 million “Send the Vote” effort backed by podcast hosts Nelk Boys and former Trump adviser Taylor Budowich. The group is officially nonpartisan due to its nonprofit status, but co-founder John Shadidi said The Wall Street Journal He wanted to appeal to young voters who wanted a “pro-freedom, pro-American agenda” for the United States.

The “Hotties for Harris” party also takes its name from the fan base of rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who supported Harris last month and performed at a rally in Atlanta. The event featured “Hotties for Harris” signs throughout the arena, part of the Harris campaign’s focus on Gen Z culture in its social media outreach.

TikToks were created with songs by Charli XCX. brat and Chappell Roan’s The rise and fall of a Midwestern princess, and Harris’ first campaign ad was based on Beyonce’s lemonade Track “Freedom” to reinforce her campaign message. The song is also her walk-up song at rallies.
