Green says about the new song:

I was traveling a lot in Europe on the last LS Dunes tour and I found myself singing these words in this melody. I heard someone say “last summer in America” but in the past tense referring to being in America last summer. I started to think of the idea of writing a simple folk song about how we seem to be more inclined to talk about the end of the world than the end of these oppressive, corrupt systems that we all invented or inherited and agreed to participate in. It’s a meditation on whether or not a broken system can heal itself within its own mechanisms.

Green is also gearing up for a short West Coast tour in early September, followed by a newly announced Northeast tour in December, and in between those tours, LS Dunes will hit the road supporting Rise Against. The tour posters for his two solo tours can be found below.

In addition to the new solo songs, Green has been posting some solo acoustic partial covers on Instagram lately and performing a handful of covers on tour. Recent covers include Militarie Gun’s new single “Thought You Were Waving,” Land of Talk’s “Spiritual Intimidation,” and Liz Phair’s “Dogs of LA.” Check those out below, too.
