Or of people who suffer lifelong depression. Or of someone who struggles with ‘black sheep’ syndrome. I just felt like I was alone in this. Eventually, I got tired of hearing the optimism of people who weren’t in the same situation as me. I wanted to know that I wasn’t alone in this situation. I wanted to know that someone else had experienced the same thing and was able to recover from it.”
