Grass Roots Art Hub debuts in Moorhead

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – Grass Roots Art Hub gets things started with a ’90s-themed launch party!

On Thursday, August 15th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., come to Roots Hydroponics in Moorhead to enjoy crafts, games and meet the team.

Kellie Pfeifer, owner of KPHECK Studios, and Logan Macrae, owner of Roots Hydroponics, have joined forces to create a local artist collective.

“It’s made up of a panel of artists and small businesses, and then we want to bring in more artists and creatives,” says Pfeifer. “It will be a place for community networking.”

Pfeifer says they will offer artist support services, guest speakers and commission art galleries to help expose younger names.

“We want to not only encourage other artists who are just starting out, but also offer community members a more comfortable and open space,” says Pfeifer.

She says the ’90s party is her first major fundraiser and a small step toward building the nonprofit organization Grass Roots Art.

Admission is $15 and includes henna tattoos, tarot card readings and pog table painting. Food will also be available when the weather is nice.
