U District Chow Down & Street Party returns to Seattle next month

There’s nothing like a little street party to end the summer in Seattle, and there’s one happening in September. The U District Chow Down & Street Party returns next month, bringing an end-of-season celebration to the area.

According to U District, “The U District is celebrating the end of summer with a neighborhood-wide food walk and street festival” and it will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Organizers say you can expect affordable small bites from over 70 businesses that will give you a “true taste of the U District.”

You can try everything from ice cream, noodles, bubble tea, chicken, sliders, pretzels and more!

Formerly called the U District Food Walk, this festival includes $5 appetizers throughout the neighborhood and a street festival with live music, games, contests and more along University Way/The Ave.

The U District hosts festivals throughout the year, including the popular Seattle Boba Fest and the U District Street Fair. Both were epic this year, so we can’t wait for this end-of-summer street festival!
