An Arenac County man spent six months thinking notifications of a $257,631 BIG CA$H jackpot were a scam until he finally called the Michigan Lottery and found out he had actually won!
The 41-year-old player, who wished to remain anonymous, won $257,631 after being selected in a random drawing on February 14. “I saw an email in February telling me I had won a second prize of $257,631, but I thought it was just a scam and deleted the email,” the player said. “In addition to the email, I have received several calls over the past few months about the prize, but I still thought it was a scam. Recently I decided to investigate and when I found out it was a real prize, I was speechless!
“Now that I’m in the lottery office, I finally realize that this prize is real. This prize will change my life!”
The lucky player recently visited the lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He plans to use his winnings to buy a new house and a new car.
