The Bookseller – Rights – Black & White acquires Amelia Ireland’s debut novel for six-figure sum

Black-and-white, an imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has anticipated Amelia Ireland’s debut novel The Seven Clock Association.

Sam Humphreys, Ppublication DDirector at Black-and-whitet, acquired Great Britain and Commonwealth right (except Canada)out of Emily Glenister at DHH Literary Agency, for six-digit. Black-and-white will be published on 3rd place April 2025, with Berkmhey books in the USA Publish on 15.th April 2025.

Ireland wrote The novel was written in memory of her mother, who died shortly after being diagnosed with early dementia.

Ireland said: II have I have always been a bit of a daydreamer and spent most of my time imagining lives that are worlds away from my own. This, combined with the death of my mother a few years ago, led me come with the idea for this book. However, I never in my wildest dreams would have believed that within six months I would land a great agent and a publishing deal, and now working with Sam at Black & White is an absolute dream comes true. I have was thrilled by the trust she placed in me and the book from the beginning, and I tilt wait The Seven Clock Association in print.

Humphreys said: “II have was looking for a really warmheartbreaking yet life-affirming reading since I started at Bonnier, and when Emily first The Seven Clock Associationit has my spider my senses tingled.
