Castle Danger’s 13th Anniversary Party on Saturday

Castle Danger’s 13th Anniversary Party on Saturday

The celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

TWO HARBORS, Minn. – One of the North Shore’s premier breweries is preparing to celebrate its 13th anniversary this weekend, and you’re invited.

We’re talking about Castle Danger Brewery in Two Harbors, one of the state’s largest breweries. The celebration takes place Saturday with live music, food trucks and, of course, craft beer. That includes five special festival beer infusions.

“The beers are obviously a big highlight. We already have a lot of fun brewing unique, delicious beers, but anniversary beers are special. Our head brewer is very passionate about creating unique offerings for these. He combines different flavors and spices. I’m especially excited about the Habanero Pineapple Haze, that’s going to be something really special. And the Lagerita, our lager made into a margarita. They age it on tequila-infused oak spirals and also put in a special lemon-lime hop extract,” said Tina Hegg Raway, controller at Castle Danger.

The specialty beers will only be available at Saturday’s event as the Castle Danger team wants to make the 13th anniversary a memorable experience for the community.

“So not only are we part of the North Shore community, but we’re part of the craft beer community. To see those two things come together and for us to be here for 13 years is pretty special in this industry. Not many breweries can say that. We’ve been here so long and we’ve grown to be the fourth largest brewery in the state. It’s super cool to be able to celebrate that with everyone and those two communities is a pretty amazing feeling,” said Lacey Fischer, event and marketing coordinator for Castle Danger Brewery.

Admission to the party on Saturday is free. The taproom opens at 11 a.m. Live music starts at 1 p.m.
