MJF shares AEW locker room status after Britt Baker incident

MJF recently commented on the current locker room situation at AEW.

Earlier this month, current American Champion MJF reportedly got into a brawl with Britt Baker. Shortly after, other reports reported Baker’s suspension and MJF’s punch into the wall. However, in his recent interview with Cultaholic, Salt of the Earth refuted these claims.

The former world champion also spoke about the current situation in the locker room and the bond in an interview with WrestleTalk. He said that everyone in the background has an extremely close bond and wants the promotion to be successful.

The locker room has never been this crowded. The work environment has never been better. That’s based on everything I’ve been told. Nobody talks to me or hangs out with me, and I like that. It seems like everyone is on the same page, not only do they hate me, but they all seem to get along. It seems like a real team effort right now, and it seems like everyone believes in All Elite Wrestling and is trying to keep All Elite Wrestling moving forward.”

He also talked about how the Jacksonville-based promotion, despite being one of the biggest names in the industry alongside WWE, is always portrayed in a negative light.

In recent news, Dominik Mysterio has spoken openly about why he chose Liv Morgan over Rhea Ripley.

MJF talks about rematch with CM Punk

In the same exclusive interview with WrestleTalk, MJF further commented on whether he would face CM Punk if he stayed with Tony Khan’s promotion, claiming:

I would have won if we wrestled again. I think everyone knows that. I’m a very smart person, I actually mentioned that with Swerve, because history repeats itself, I’m a man who… I like to pick my spots. It’s quite obvious that I could have beaten him again, because I had already beaten him twice in Chicago. But why would I beat him when there was no world title on the line? If CM Punk was still around, I would definitely have waited for him to become world champion.”
