HOMEWOOD, IL — The Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve has launched its sixth annual “Seasons of Izaak Walton/2025” calendar photo contest. The early bird deadline has passed, and entries will be accepted through the end of September, officials said.
Entrants may submit a maximum of five entries each. They may include a photo of weather, scenery, birds, dogs, other animals, and unidentifiable people. All photos must be taken at the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve.
Entrants can email their high-resolution images to [email protected] with their name, address and phone number, as well as a title for the photo. Entrants should indicate the month the photo was taken.
All photos must be landscape format (wide, not tall), ideally 8.5 x 11, and must not contain a watermark.
Visitors to the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve Facebook page can “like” up to 12 photos to vote for their favorites. These votes will be used to break ties.
The competition ends on September 30th at midnight.
An independent jury of photographers selects their favorites.
The Homewood Izaak Walton Photo Committee will use the public’s vote to resolve tiebreaks. All decisions are final.
