ATASCADERO — Every Wednesday in August, North County Restaurant Group will donate 10 percent of sales from one of its restaurants to ALF Food Pantry. Come join the Guest House Grill in Atascadero for lunch, dinner and drinks on Wednesday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and support your local food bank.

ALF Food Pantry is celebrating its 40th year of serving food-insecure people in North County. The nonprofit distributed 500,000 pounds of food last year without paid staff. Community support is the backbone of the organization.

ALF Food Pantry was named Community Organization of the Year by the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. The nonprofit, formerly known as Atascadero Loaves and Fishes, has been distributing free food for over 30 years. Its humble beginnings were in the basement of a local church and today it is located at 5411 El Camino Real in Atascadero.
